Mucus-forming substances such as fenugreek, extruded flaxseed, and lecithin support the gastric mucosa. Stomach-soothing herbs such as chamomile flowers, bergamot root, and turmeric help relax the stomach.
Zinc is an important element in cases of increased stress and for the immune system. Horses are often given proton pump inhibitors for stomach ulcers, but this also deprives the organism of zinc.
